2. Important prerequisites
- Required device: using the app requires the purchase/ownership of a XamIoT SoundSense device.
- Connection: the device needs an Internet connection via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Without a device, the app is inoperative.
- Pricing: as of today, app usage is free (no subscription). This may evolve into a paid subscription.

3. Apple contract / EULA

4. Account & Security
You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity on your account.
5. Permitted Use
Prohibited: unlawful use, security bypass, reverse engineering, bulk data extraction, infringement of third-party rights.
You agree to inform occupants that the device is a sound level sensor (no audio recording).
6. Measurements & Limits
The xB index is indicative and not a legally certified measuring instrument. The service is not an emergency alert system.
7. Notifications
Subject to your iOS consent and network availability. Delivery times are not guaranteed.
8. Intellectual Property
The app, API, schematics, and firmware are protected. Personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license.
9. Updates
We may release app and firmware updates (notably for security). Some may be mandatory.
10. Suspension / Termination
Possible in case of material breach. Deleting your account results in loss of histories and related rules.
11. Liability
Service provided “as is,” to the extent permitted by law. No liability for indirect damages. Cap: amounts paid for the service over the last 12 months (without prejudice to statutory hardware warranties—see T&Cs of Sale).
12. Governing Law
French law. Courts of Orléans, France (subject to mandatory consumer rights).
